North Rockies Design?
First question you may be asking, why on earth is it called North Rockies if it’s more like middle Rockies? Is it even Rockies? It should be called Teton Design or something. Well, I like the Tetons, but the Tetons would be a little too obscure for lots of folks. Besides everyone around Rexburg calls themselves Teton this and Teton that. Ok, Ok… so Idaho is next to Canada, and Canada is North, the Tetons are in the Rockies, so I’m calling it North Rockies.
History
North Rockies Design first began as Ryan J Haworth Design, founded by Ryan J Haworth in 1997 in Minnesota. From the beginning Ryan hoped to build on his experience and education as a Graphic Designer and Multimedia Producer. Through networking and word-of-mouth, Ryan began serving small businesses in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
As the company moved from the midwest to the intermountain west, a new name was in order. Owing to a love of geography, Ryan felt it only fitting to give the company a location name. Thus was born North Rockies Design.
In 2002 North Rockies signed on with MazePlay, Inc. to redesign their website and assist in corn maze designs. Through the few years since, we have maintained and upgraded the site as needed.
Later that year, IE Productions contracted North Rockies Design President Ryan Haworth to handle their Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, and Motion Graphics work. Ryan saw this as an opportunity to improve his design skills, work with other talented individuals, and work on some very exciting projects. Some of IE’s clients have included Bear Creek Country Kitchens, ICON Fitness, Reebok Fitness, Melaleuca, and the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
2004 saw a new turn in the journey for North Rockies Design as Ryan entered the doors of Brigham Young University Idaho to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication, Advertising Emphasis, which he completed in April 2008. The experience was exciting! Ryan served as a founding member and webmaster of the BYUI Education Society, and as Agency Manager of his Senior Ad Campaigns class. Ryan was also Creative Director for the American Advertising Federation student group in 2007.
